Hosting
The site runs on a server rented from IONOS SE in Germany. Like every web server, it logs each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page asked for, the site you came from, and your browser's name. The logs are used only to keep the site running and secure, and are deleted automatically after a short time. IONOS handles this data on my behalf under a data processing agreement. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, my legitimate interest in running a secure website.
Cloudflare
Requests pass through Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA), which protects the site from attacks and delivers it faster. To do that it processes your IP address and the request itself. Cloudflare is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.Cloudflare's privacy policy.
The colour shuffle
If you press the shuffle button on the home page, your browser remembers the colours for that tab and forgets them when you close it. They're never sent anywhere.
Links to other sites
Projects link out to places like Spotify, the app stores and their own sites. Nothing is loaded from those sites until you click a link; after that, their own privacy policies apply.
Your rights
You can ask what data about you I hold (Art. 15 GDPR) and have it corrected (Art. 16), deleted (Art. 17) or restricted (Art. 18), get it in a portable format (Art. 20), and object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21). Just email me. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example Hamburg'sBeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
